Russell C. Jacobs, III
Immediate Past Chair
Russell C. Jacobs, III, has more than 28 years of experience in the financial planning industry, starting when he joined his father in the financial services business in 1985. He is a Certified Financial Planner and has earned other professional designations through the years.
Mr. Jacobs is a founding partner of Jacobs, Coolidge and Company, LLC, where he serves as the firm’s senior financial planner and insurance specialist. In 2011, his firm affiliated with Financial Design Associates, which maintains offices in Jacksonville, Savannah, Augusta, and Hilton Head.
Mr. Jacobs is active in community and professional organizations, including the Savannah Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association of Georgia. He serves as a Board member for both the Savannah Community Foundation and Epworth by the Sea. He is also active in the Davis Love Foundation and The McGladrey Classic PGA tournament held on the Sea Island Seaside Course.
Along with his wife, Cindy, Mr. Jacobs resides on St. Simons Island and is a member of Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica, where he serves on the Finance Committee. Additionally, he is a leader and treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 248 at St. Simons United Methodist Church. Russell and Cindy have two children, Maddie, a senior in high school, and Parker, who is in the 8th grade.
